As your constituent, I oppose any health care plan that facilitates or funds abortion. Abortion is not health care! I also oppose a plan that would allow rationing of health care services to our most vulnerable citizens who may be elderly, chronically or terminally ill.

The Hyde Amendment will not prohibit the funding of abortion in a nationalized health care plan. Further, the Capps amendment is an unacceptable smokescreen that actually hides the funding of abortion. I fully expect you to stand up for my strongly held beliefs and will remember your votes on this critical issue next time you're up for re-election.
