Huge Success
The project has been a
huge success so far! A worker in the White House mailroom has
confirmed the delivery of as many as 2.25 million red
envelopes.
In a previous email I
asked you to be part of the nationwide, grassroots Red
Envelope Project. It is the brainchild of Christ (rhymes with
mist) Otto. Every pro-lifer is being asked to mail an empty
red envelope to President Obama at the White House. Each
envelope represents a baby who has been killed by abortion.
The red color symbolizes the blood of abortion. The
President's address is on the front. The following message is
printed on the back: This envelope represents one child who
died in abortion. It is empty because that life was unable to
offer anything to the world.
The goal: have millions
of red envelopes flooding the mailroom of the White House. And
that's exactly what is happening! The White House has received
a tidal wave of red envelopes. The mail worker, "Steve," was
asked if he's been getting any red envelopes. He responded,
"Believe me, they made it here."
More importantly, Steve
said the Obama administration has noticed.
Steve added, "Quite
frankly, there was definitely a deluge of mail coming through.
I've been here 35 years, so I've seen presidents come and go.
This campaign ranks up there with the big ones."
Here at Life Issues
Institute, we printed and distributed 125,000 red envelopes.
Others have obviously also done their part. During a recent
phone conversation with Christ, he and I noted the joy of
seeing pro-life organizations and individuals working together
to make a unified and effective statement for life.
Christ very poignantly
summarized the project by saying, "We are trying to change the
president's heart. This is a message to a man that God hears
the cry of innocent blood. If the capital is flooded with so
many letters that no one can deny it, I am hoping the image
will be burned into Barack Obama's mind that this is about
human blood, and that he lies awake at night until he cannot
resist doing something about it."
Very well said! And the
Red Envelope Project continues. You can still send your red
envelopes to the President. Life Issues Institute will keep
ordering them as long as there's a demand. Click here to order

Please
pray that this project changes the President's heart on
abortion and that he acts to protect unborn babies from a
violent and brutal death.
Sincerely for the babies,
