A Working Game Plan

So how’s that Christmas preparation game plan working out for you? Yeah, I gave up on mine too. What do you say we send a chill up the spine of all those department store managers and commercial hucksters of the “Holiday,” (they’re afraid to call it Christmas). Let’s adopt a winning game plan to joyfully reflect on the real reason for the season — the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We don’t need all that “holiday hubbub.” The world won’t fall apart if our social calendars aren’t filled and the cookies left unbaked. We only need Christmas, and it’s free — a gift from our Heavenly Father, not wrapped in fancy “holiday” paper, but in swaddling clothes.

Our Christmas gift might have filled his diaper, spit up in Joseph’s lap, or cried in the middle of the cold Bethlehem night. But those who receive this priceless present will have eternal life in heaven. Just imagine no abortion, embryonic stem cell research or physician-assisted suicide. No crooked Illinois Governors, Planned Parenthood or post-abortion despair.

Just perfection — for all eternity!

So now, that the new cell phone you just can’t live without has the appeal of a kidney stone. Not even a Mercedes with snow tires (top of my gift list for years) can come close to the anticipation of living forever in a perfect state with our Creator. This, my friend, is Christmas!

As long as we’re on this earth, we must keep our noses to the grindstone and continually work to end abortion. Our God-given mission is to bring America to the realization that innocent human life is sacred and must be protected.
