We're Nearly There!
The time has almost
come. After what seems to be years of campaigning (who are we
kidding, it has been years!) the election is finally
upon us. If you happen to reside in a “swing state” like Ohio
where I live, you’ve been pummeled with television, radio and
Internet ads. There have been endless visits by candidates,
mailings, political infomercials and — the worst part of all —
those automated phone calls! Take heart if you feel battle
fatigue. It’s almost over!
But don’t let this
“campaign on steroids” dampen your passion and enthusiasm to
help protect millions of unborn babies with your vote. There
are a myriad of pro-life candidates on local, state and
federal levels who desperately need your vote November 4. If
you’ve voted early for pro-life candidates, God bless you, but
read on. Later, I’ve got something else for you.
There are probably
several issues near and dear to your heart as you consider
voting for candidates. But please remember if millions of
preborn babies are denied the right to live, other rights such
as comprehensive health care, lower taxes, energy independence
or eliminating the national debt mean nothing. They won’t be
around to enjoy them.
For many of you, the
war and loss of American lives is a big issue. I understand
and respect that. Here’s something you should keep in mind.
According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, the research arm
of Planned Parenthood, every year
more preborn babies die from abortion than the number of
Americans killed in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World
Wars I and II, Korean, Vietnam, Persian Gulf and
Afghanistan/Iraq Wars combined.
This shouldn’t negate your concern about the war, but the 1.3
million innocent unborn babies killed by abortion each year
make it the number one killer in America. And hopefully it is
the number one issue in your heart and on your mind when you
go to the polls. Please, only vote
for candidates who oppose abortion.
I like brief visuals
that cover all the bases. Earlier, I shared with you a short,
inspirational video developed for Catholic voters. In case you
missed it, go to www.catholicvote.com.
This new, second video, designed for a general audience, is
sure to move you. Here’s the link. http://aproundtable.org
Please share them with others.
Regardless of who wins the presidential, senatorial and
congressional elections — the pro-life movement must hit the
ground running with a winning strategy to end abortion. So I’m
joining other pro-life leaders, led by Father Frank Pavone of
Priests for Life, the night after the election on
Wednesday November 5 from 9:00 to 10:00 pm Eastern Time. We’ll
be part of an Internet teleconference, easily accessible by
the web or phone.
Listen in as we talk
about where we go from here. You’ll hear from experts in the
areas of pro-life education, legal strategy, legislation,
assisting pregnant women, youth efforts and general awareness.
These are all crucial to ending abortion regardless of who’s
in the White House and Congress. You’ll also be able to post
questions that will then be discussed.
This is a critical time
for the pro-life movement. That’s why I’m joining forces with
other pro-life leaders to pave the way for an effective
strategy for the future. I hope you’ll join me, and please ask
others to participate. It’s easy! At the time of the event,
you can link to the Internet teleconference at:

In the few days left
before the election, please do three absolutely critical
things: Pray, Vote
and Encourage
Others to do the same!
Vote like life depends
upon it. It does!
Sincerely for babies,
Bradley
