KCMH Radio is Grand Prize Winner in Pro-Life Educational
Outreach
Life Issues Institute is
pleased to announce the winner of its Truth Unmasked nationwide
educational effort. Truth Unmasked is a CD-ROM, designed for youth,
which takes viewers through the issue of abortion. The totally interactive
computer CD explores fetal development, abortion methods and statistics,
as well as its physical and psychological complications. In addition, it
links participants to the nation's best pro-life youth websites.
Life Issues Institute selected
the organization that demonstrated effectiveness in distributing Truth
Unmasked to its area youth. The winner is KCMH Radio in Mountain Home,
AR. KCMH was selected for their creative and diligent efforts to use
Truth Unmasked to shine a light of knowledge in their community.
Life Issues Institute
distributed hundreds of thousands of copies of Truth Unmasked
through right to life groups, crisis pregnancy centers, churches, youth
groups, and media outlets. Bradley Mattes, Executive Director of Life
Issues Institute, said, “We believe the education of today's youth will
help save the lives of many generations to come. Those who know the truth
will indeed reject abortion.”
KCMH Radio distributed Truth
Unmasked to the local high school, two area crisis pregnancy centers,
and pastors and youth leaders. They promoted the CD-ROM on the air and via
their website news page. They were also passed out to home schoolers and
at a Business Expo booth.
“As a partner in our
life-saving effort, KCMH Radio demonstrated a true passion to communicate
the reality about abortion to the next generation,” said Mattes. Mr.
Mattes personally traveled to Mountain Home, AR to present the grand prize
on Tuesday. It is a laptop computer and wall projector, equipped with
additional pro-life educational tools, which will further facilitate
pro-life awareness in Mountain Home. The presentation was made at a
special Open House to celebrate KCMH's 20th anniversary of
Christian broadcasting.
