Bristol Palin was scheduled to speak about abstinence until marriage on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. This unwed mother and daughter of Sarah Palin knows firsthand about the problems of sex before marriage. But Kate Walsh, a TV celebrity and member of Planned Parenthood, led a student boycott of her talk and they cancelled it. What was Kate so afraid of—that student’s will wait for sex? Maybe. Planned Parenthood makes its living from people who have sex outside of marriage, including abortion. But I think there’s another reason. It’s also about hatred for Bristol’s mother. There’s a leftist, knee-jerk reaction to anything Palin. It’s sad Kate Walsh let hatred keep students from benefiting from what Bristol Palin had to say. Abstinence truly is the answer.

By now, hopefully you’ve heard about the many Planned Parenthood abortion mills caught on video aiding an underage sex ring. A woman and man, posing as a prostitute and her boss, filmed their encounters with Planned Parenthood staff. The undercover video showed the staff assisting the human trafficking of teens. They helped them secure secret abortions and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases. This comes at a time when Congress is looking for ways to cut spending. Planned Parenthood gets over three hundred fifty million tax dollars a year. And they’re clearly using it to break the law and victimize our children. My pro-life colleagues in Holland do a great job of passing out beautiful plastic models of unborn babies at twelve weeks after conception. The Catholic Bishop agrees and sent one to every member of the Dutch House of Representatives with a letter. One politician called it disgusting, so a Catholic journalist wrote an open letter to her, standing up for unborn babies. As a result, the journalist got hundreds of death threats and several threats of torture. I’ve been to Holland on many occasions and found the people very nice. But it seems lurking underneath the surface is a hatred for any point of view contrary to a liberal, politically correct opinion. They cry freedom of the press, but it doesn’t seem to apply to faith-based journalists. Let’s pray for Holland.

In-vitro fertilization is the process of combining sperm and egg in a lab and implanting days-old embryos in the womb. It’s been hailed as a breakthrough for childless couples. Sadly, through the process, embryos considered less healthy are routinely killed. Scientists recently announced many of the two-thirds of IVF embryos who fail to survive, do so because of genetic abnormalities. But they’ve also announced a new technique to readily identify the less-than-perfect tiny humans before implantation. Of course they are killed. Those who turn to IVF need to be aware of the often dark side to what many believe is a modern-day miracle. Very few physicians practice a respect for all human life through this process. In the past I’ve told you about Dignitas, a euthanasia organization in Switzerland. They actually help people legally commit suicide. One segment of people they advocate euthanasia for are those with dementia. Ludwig Minelli, its president, told a Swiss newspaper the family members of people they help kill should also be afforded the right to euthanasia. Dignitas feels a spouse for example may not want to continue living without them. It’s crucial to realize what’s motivating this frightening philosophy. Dignitas charges large fees for helping to kill people, and it’s made their president a very wealthy man. As a result, he wants to expand his riches at the expense of the lives of others. Euthanasia’s a Pandora’s Box. Pray Switzerland will soon understand and end it.

Whenever the media talk about late-term abortionists, they make you think only a very few engage in such a grisly business. This simply isn’t true. Any abortion, regardless of how far into pregnancy, is a tragedy. But the reality is late-term abortion impacts the general public more, and pro-abortion members of the media know it. I believe this is why they try to cover for the late-term abortion industry. A study by the Guttmacher Institute, the research arm of Planned Parenthood, said there are at least three hundred abortionists who kill babies developed enough to likely live outside the womb. The main reason is it’s an incredibly lucrative business. Abortionists get paid huge sums of money. So next time you hear the media say they’re rare, take it with a big grain of salt.

According to the United Nations, it’s never too early to start talking to children about sex. This includes promoting legal abortion to five-year-olds. It gets worse. It’s all part of a sex education curriculum, inspired by the Kinsley Institute, and includes children from birth to age five. In case you don’t know, Kinsley’s known for promoting pedophilia. The first director was the former medical director of Planned Parenthood. The curriculum warns against parents who oppose homosexuality. According to them, it’ll hinder their children’s growth. Using their own words, instructors are told to “avoid moralization. There are no rights or wrongs when discussing values.” We’re talking about a global brainwashing of children on abortion and sex by the UN using your tax dollars.

It wasn’t until after the media called a grisly late-term abortion mill a “house of horrors” that it was shut down and Kermit Gosnell, the abortionist, and his staff were charged with murder. At least two women died, and reportedly hundreds of babies survived the abortion only to be brutally killed afterward. How could this happen? The Philly District Attorney in the Grand Jury report speculates it’s because the mill catered to poor women of color. Testimony revealed Gosnell allowed untrained staff to medicate the women unless she was white. Black and Asian women were forced to wait in filthy rooms before delivering their babies, intended of course to be killed. But Gosnell personally escorted white girls from the suburbs to a clean office with a TV. Racism prevailed, even in death.

This week I’ve been telling you about what some media have called the “house of horrors” a ghastly late-term abortion mill in Philadelphia. The abortionist and staff were charged with several counts of murder. How could this happen? The Pennsylvania Department of Health stopped inspecting abortion mills when pro-abortion Governor Tom Ridge was elected. The Board of Medicine and Philadelphia Department of Public Health looked the other way. Even the local hospital reported only one of the many maimed women it treated. The National Abortion Federation, whose mission is to “ensure safe, legal and acceptable abortion care,” inspected Gosnell’s mill but said nothing. Evidence shows a pro-abortion bureaucracy and activists covered up for a legal, yet back-alley-type abortionist.
