A Colorado man is facing federal charges. Jared Ahlstrom tried to talk his girlfriend into having an abortion. When she refused, he laced her food with the second part of the two-part abortion drug, RU 486. The woman eventually gave birth to a stillborn baby boy nearly half-way through the pregnancy. Jared ultimately admitted the crime to his girlfriend in emails. This kind of deadly assault on women and their preborn children is almost commonplace now. The chemical abortion drug is easily obtainable and can be slipped into food or beverages without notice. Imagine the number of guys getting away with this! Where’s the outcry from hardcore pro-abortion feminists who claim to be pro-choice? They were instrumental in getting RU 486 legal, and it’s victimizing women.
RU 486 Murder Tool of Choice
March 10th, 2010Safe Legal and Rare
March 9th, 2010On the issue of abortion, President Bill Clinton coined the term “safe, legal and rare.” Since then many pro-abortion politicians and activists have parroted his slogan. But here’s how it translates into real life. Every year there’s well over a million abortions, thousands each day. Every twenty-one seconds another baby dies from abortion. So much for rare. In Michigan authorities are finally checking into abortionist Alberto Hodari after it’s been reported he killed three women, maimed others and forced some to undergo abortions against their will. So much for safe. All we have left is legal. It’s legal to intentionally kill innocent preborn children while maiming and killing many of their mothers. “Safe, legal and rare” was a lie from the start.
Concert for Terri Schiavo Foundation
March 8th, 2010Indianapolis, Indiana is the place to be April eleventh. It’s the first annual Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Concert. The event will be headlined by country music legend, Randy Travis. Proceeds will benefit the foundation organized and run by Terri’s family to protect future patients from being killed. The concert will be almost five years to the day when Terri succumbed to starvation and dehydration at the hands of her estranged husband. The world watched as this real-life drama played out in Florida. Since then I’ve become close friends with the Schindler family and have seen their pain of losing Terri. And I’ve seen their passion to prevent other patients from suffering the same fate. Visit life issues dot org and click on today’s broadcast link for more details. Hope to see you there!
High School Indoctrination
March 5th, 2010There’s a chilling effort underway in North Carolina to indoctrinate all of the state’s high school students with a pro-abortion philosophy. The Department of Public Instruction is revising its civics and economics curriculum. The new versions compare pro-life laws with segregation and the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II. In one case, the text instructs students to use Roe v Wade to “explain how the US Supreme Court upheld rights against oppressive government.” This alarming development is further evidence we should only vote for pro-life candidates. The Governor and Superintendent of Public Instruction are pro-abortion. It’s tragic this might happen in North Carolina where a majority of people oppose abortion and want to protect unborn babies.
Deplorable Conditions Often Commonplace
March 4th, 2010Authorities in Philadelphia made a grisly discovery. They were investigating the death of a woman at an abortionist’s office. Kermit Gosnell is suspected of illegally distributing painkillers, which may have lead to the woman’s death. While there, authorities found over two-dozen unborn babies in a freezer. Now investigators are wondering if illegal, late-term abortions were being done there. They said conditions at the abortion mill were “deplorable and unsanitary.” Here’s a question we all should be asking. Why is it only abortion mills are found to be in horrific conditions? Why are women dying in these places instead of offices of other doctors? Deadly conditions are becoming common place in abortion mills.
Bravery Saved Baby
March 3rd, 2010Twenty-one-year-old Leah Winandy was standing in front of an abortion mill in Duluth, Minnesota, trying to change the hearts of women going in for abortions. When she approached Mechelle Hall, the pregnant woman pulled out a knife and held it up to Leah’s throat, saying “Don’t come near me.” Mechelle was arrested and plead guilty in court where it was revealed she didn’t have the abortion after all. A reporter later contacted her at home and asked why. Mechelle said Leah made her realize she didn’t want to kill her unborn baby. And she had a message for the pro-lifer. Tell her, “Thank you for being there.” Otherwise, Michelle said, “I probably would have gone through with it and regretted it for the rest of my life.” Another life spared.
Killing to Get Statistics
March 2nd, 2010News headlines cheerfully declare the number of cases of inherited diseases is declining and some have nearly disappeared. Good news you say? Not on your life! Once you get past the Pollyanna paragraphs you’ll read the number’s going down only because they’re detecting these diseases before birth and aborting the babies. What if the headlines joyously declared the number of breast cancer cases has sharply declined? But only because they’re quietly killing the diagnosed women before they can soil their statistical information? The entire world would be outraged. It’s no different they’re killing preborn children by the tens of thousands because they’ve been diagnosed with an inherited disease. God has a plan for all His children, regardless of their physical condition.
Black Children an Endangered Species
March 1st, 2010There’s an edgy and provocative billboard campaign going on in the state of Georgia. Next to a picture of a Black child are the words, “Black children are an endangered species.” The campaign’s designed to create awareness the abortion industry targets the Black community. Over three-quarters of all Planned Parenthood abortion mills are located in predominantly Black or Hispanic neighborhoods. A black woman is far more likely to get an abortion than a white woman. In the Black community, the number of abortions is getting very close to the number of live births. The billboard campaign seems to be working. There’s been quite a bit of public discussion about the points I’ve just mentioned. Visit today’s broadcast link at life issues dot org if you’d like more information.
Local Businesses Paying the Price
February 26th, 2010When the local abortion mill in Brookline Village, Massachusetts wanted to move to a more high traffic area, local businesses were concerned. The owner of the abortion business, known as Lolly to her friends, assured them they had nothing to worry about. But it seems they do. The state has a law prohibiting sidewalk counselors or protesters from standing within thirty-five feet of an abortion mill entrance. So now the pro-lifers are forced to stand in front of neighboring businesses like day care centers, grocery stores and dry cleaners. Needless to say, especially in this economy, the shopkeepers are upset big time! You can’t blame the protestors. They’re just speaking truth to darkness. Hopefully, local businesses will insist on terminating this killing center to protect lives and economic health.
Palin Condemned for Defending Son
February 25th, 2010Since the presidential race, Sarah Palin’s been treated like a political punching bag. Now she’s getting beat up by columnist Kathleen Parker who isn’t known for her pro-life views. Many media types believe it’s unthinkable Governor Palin would intentionally give birth to a child with Down syndrome. In this case, Ms. Parker’s accusing her of exploiting her son—inferring she’s using him as a “political tool.” The columnist says if Trig could talk, he’d say, “No more Mama.” I’m confidant Trig would thank his mom for standing up for him and over eighty-percent of unborn babies identified with Down syndrome and aborted. First, Sarah’s condemned for having Trig. Now they’re condemning her for speaking up for such individuals. These critics should crawl back under their rocks.
