Current Abortion Stats

  1. Since 1973 (year abortion was legalized in the US) approximately 50,000,000 unborn babies have been lost to abortion.

  2. According to available CDC National Vital Statistics Reports (10-14-09, page 4) numbers, total abortions between 1976 to 2005 equal 42,993,000.

  3. According to the latest CDC National Vital Statistics Reports (10-14-09 page 11), 1,206,000 babies were killed in abortion during 2005 alone.

  4. The CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (11-27-2009 page 28) lists that 44.7% of all abortions were performed on women who had at least one previous abortion.

  5. Every day, over 3,300 babies die from abortion in the US, that's 137 per hour (24 hours a day).

  6. Every 23 seconds a baby is killed by abortion in the US.
