Babies and the Environment

Those concerned about global warming often tell you how to live your life. A new study from Sweden is piling on.  If you’re worried about your carbon footprint, they say you should do four things.  Get rid of your car and bicycle or walk; stay out of airplanes and become a vegetarian.  But that’s only three.  The fourth and most impactful lifestyle change is having fewer children.  This, they say, makes the biggest difference.  Recycling, energy-efficient light bulbs and drying your clothes on old-fashioned clotheslines are now small potatoes in the environmental movement.  I believe it’s not a big step to use this so-called science of fewer children to create laws penalizing children.  God didn’t say children are a blessing under the right environmental conditions.  He says they’re a blessing, period.
