An unplanned pregnancy saved the life of newlywed Chelsea Nally. This was her first pregnancy, so as the breast tissue expanded to grow milk-producing buds, it revealed a menacing reality. The expanding tissue pushed a cancerous breast tumor toward the skin where it could be detected. Doctors said without the pregnancy, the tumor wouldn’t have been found. It saved her life. The chemotherapy treatments didn’t affect their unborn son, Findley, who was born healthy. Chelsea said, “Holding him in my arms for the first time, I felt like my biggest battle was over.” Both mother and child are doing fine. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine determined modern-day chemo doesn’t impact the unborn child. Praise God, moms don’t need to even consider aborting their babies.
