Euthanasia is practiced in America’s hospitals even where it’s not legal. Jay Hendry suffered a severe brain injury in a car accident. His wife, Megan, saw Jay respond but the patronizing doctors told her it was in her head. They asked her seventeen times to end his life by withdrawing medical support, but Megan steadfastly refused. Eventually she got Jay into a rehabilitation facility and he began to talk, play with the kids and move his arms and legs. With increasing regularity I’m seeing seriously ill patients like Jay being written off and left or pushed to die. The fortunate ones have a tenacious family member or friend who defends them. Please be an advocate for your family, and the Terri Schiavo Life and Hope Network is there to help if you need it.
