Let’s say you or someone you know is expecting a child, but in the seventh month is rushed to the hospital, fearful of a premature delivery. Then the baby is born. Then another. And another. And still another. Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more, another baby was born. Five baby girls came into the lives of this couple in India. They didn’t know there were multiples because they couldn’t afford an ultrasound. The girls are doing pretty well and will receive government assistance. The couple had under eight dollars in the bank, yet the mother said, “I am extremely grateful to God for blessing us with not one but five children.” Two years earlier she gave birth to a stillborn child. “God has compensated the loss,” she said.
