Billions in Fines

Since 1980 the Chinese communist government has imposed a draconian and brutal one-child policy to decrease its population. Women have literally been dragged into abortion chambers late in pregnancy and forcibly aborted and sterilized for having a second child. Now the authorities are allowing two children under the same draconian system. Often poor people are fined ten times their annual salary for having an unauthorized child. In recent years it was documented that two farmers committed suicide because they couldn’t pay the fine. Many more go unreported. It’s estimated over the years the government has extracted hundreds of billions of dollars from its people. These fines aren’t subject to accountability, so much goes to line the pockets of ruthless so-called family planning officials.
