It’s that season when our minds are centered on a young woman and her infant baby boy in a stable. It’s the most iconic image for Christians around the world when contemplating Christmas. Our friends at Americans United for Life have hit on that theme with new legislation aimed at protecting both mother and child from abortion. AUL is known as the architect of pro-life legislation and they’ve announced their Infants’ Protection Project. These laws require babies’ bodies be treated with dignity and respect and can’t be sold; prohibits sex-selection abortions or those done on babies with Down syndrome. Another requires appropriate medical care for babies who survive abortion. God sent His son to save people from the sin of abortion. May these laws also be part of God’s plan.
